Op. No.: 36687 36630
Front parking assistance is an excellent system that warns of obstructions when you have limited space in front of the car, e.g. with tight parking.
The signal indicates objects in front of the car when the speed is less than 15 km/h. On indication, the volume of the radio/stereo is muted and a pulsating "buzzer tone" starts to sound in the car's front loudspeakers. The tone starts to sound when approx. 80 cm remains to an obstacle and increases to a constant tone when the distance is approx. 30 cm from the front bumper. In order to distinguish between the front and rear systems, different frequencies are used for the tone, and the sound comes from different loudspeakers, front or rear.
The kit consists of four sensors that are installed in the front bumper as well as wiring. The sensors are painted in the same colour as the car's bumper.
The system can sometimes produce "false" signals in response to external sound sources with the same frequency as the system's sensors. Typically, such sources are horns, wet tyres on asphalt, pneumatic brakes and motorcycle exhaust pipes. The system will be easy to deactivate with the push of a button using the switch below.
