INTRODUCTION

  • Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.

  • Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.

  • Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.

  • Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.

  • In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

The accessories kit can contain parts that are not used.



Note!

Work is carried out the same way on left-hand drive vehicles and on right-hand drive vehicles. Left-hand drive vehicle shown. In cases where there are differences between left and right-hand drive vehicles, both versions are shown.

    Tightening torque: Front seat to body, 40 Nm.

  • Carefully pry off the centre console panel starting on both sides at the rear edge. It is secured by two clips along the long sides. On manual gearboxes, the gear lever boot is secured by four catches (1) around the gear lever panel, (Image B).

  • Lift it up slightly and make sure that all cables are free from the gear lever carrier and components in the tunnel console, and lift it out.

  • Push holes into the carpet for the locating holes for the control module bracket. Holes to the bracket are in the member. Enlarge the holes so the locating lugs go through.

  • Drill through the bracket and carpet.

  • Take the panel, camera and screws from the kit and secure the camera.

  • Take the cable harness (A) from the kit and route through the hole in the boot lid.

  • Press the contact in the other end of the cable in the supplied isolator so that it locks.

  • Press the grey lock into the isolator.

  • Route the cable inside the lower B-pillar panel and carpet to the carpet joint at the left-hand front door.

  • Route the existing cable (1) to the control module's power supply (under the carpet) and place it in the hole in the carpet.

  • Take the remaining cable harness (B), place it in the hole in the carpet. Route under the carpet up towards the hole for the display.

  • Continue to route the cable inside the centre console and up to the location for the display. If necessary, use a piece of curtain wire to pull the cable through. Route the cable between both air ducts. Ensure that the cables are routed so they are not at risk of being cut off.
