RSE (Rear Seat Entertainment) is the ultimate entertainment system for passengers in the rear seat. It has been upgraded from model year 09- with larger monitors (8") and easier installation in the head restraint.
The RSE consists of: a DVD-player easily accessible in the center console between the front seats, two independent 8" widescreen monitors mounted in the front head restraints, a remote control and two sets of independent, wireless IR headphones.
The system's AUX input makes it possible to connect auxiliary equipment, such as game console, iPod®, MP3 player, video camera, laptop or another portable DVD-player.
The two 8" monitors are independent of one another, which makes it possible to watch a movie on one screen while using the other to play video games. This generates individual entertainment in the backseat - without arguments over the choice of entertainment.
The system functions can be operated using the wireless remote control. All you need to do is point the remote control at the screen you want to change.
You can always use the RSE-system's independent wireless IR-headphones to listen to a movie or music. The car's speaker system can also be sued by connecting the unit the car's existing audio system.
The RSE system supports the following video and audio formats:

DVD-players are coded for region 1 (US). Recoding to another region is possibly at the dealer. See installation instruction for reference to the method in VIDA.
Note!
The system requires cars equipped with High Performance or Premium Sound audio systems.
RSE cannot be combined with option code 720 (hamburger table) in the V70, XC70.
