INTRODUCTION

  • Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.

  • Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.

  • Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.

  • Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.

  • In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

Note!

Work is carried out the same way on left-hand drive vehicles and on right-hand drive vehicles. Left-hand drive vehicle shown. In cases where there are differences between left and right-hand drive vehicles, both versions are shown.

  • Carefully pry off the centre console panel starting on both sides at the rear edge. It is secured by two clips along the long sides. On manual gearboxes, the gear lever boot is secured by four catches (1) around the gear lever panel, (Image B).

  • Lift it up slightly and make sure that all cables are free from the gear lever carrier and components in the tunnel console, and lift it out.

  • Take cable harness A, connect the connector to the camera and route the cable harness along the existing cable harness out to the left-hand side of the boot lid.

  • Secure at the existing cable harness using cable ties.

  • Route it through the removed rubber grommet and out.

  • Secure at the existing cable harness using a cable tie. If necessary, use tension springpart no. 9512932 to route the cable through.

  • Take the remaining cable harness (B), place it in the hole in the carpet. Route under the carpet up towards the hole for the display.

  • Continue to route the cable inside the centre console and up to the location for the display. If necessary, use tension spring part no. 9512932 to pull the cable through. Route the cable between both air ducts. Ensure that the cables are routed so they are not at risk of being cut off.
