The wheels are supplied complete with rim, tyre, hub cap and valve on a return pallet. They are balanced and checked in winter conditions to ensure a safe driving experience. Winter wheels improve the car's driving characteristics and give a better grip on cold, snowy or icy surfaces.
On 1 May 2021, a new EU directive entered into force on the labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and other parameters.

When changing to another approved tyre dimension, the application for steering deflection limiter and/or speedometer may be needed. Contact your local Volvo dealer for more information.

- When changing to new wheel dimensions, new software must be downloaded. Updates speedometer, steering gear and tyre dimensions. Ordered according to separate procedure and downloaded using VIDA.
- Cars factory-fitted with 21" wheels have inner wheel housings with lips to prevent their use with fender extensions.
