The trailer module manages the electrical connection between the vehicle and trailer.
The trailer module stores any diagnostic trouble codes. The application number corresponds to the type of socket found on the cable harness for the towbar.
The trailer module is primarily designed to handle output signals to the cable harness and towbar for:
Direction indicators
Brake lights
Position lights
Back up light
Fog lights, rear
+12 V voltage

Note!
Only one application can be used at a time with the 7 pin basic kit. However, you must always have the trailer module irrespective of basic kit type.

In accordance with ECE regulation 48, trailers with a gross weight exceeding 750 kg require a reversing light.

Trailer module (TRM) is not compatible with trailers equipped with LED lamps.
