INTRODUCTION

  • Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.

  • Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.

  • Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.

  • Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.

  • In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

  

Note!

There may be components in the accessories kit that are not used for this installation.



Note!

These installation instructions apply to left-hand drive vehicles. When installing in a right-hand drive vehicle, the procedure is carried out on the opposite side and/or mirrored. Where the operation differs, right-hand versions are also displayed with text and images.

  • Release the lock and tape the hose high up on the washer fluid container to prevent washer fluid from running out.

  • Release the lock and take a piece of washer hose. Tie a knot in it and install on the washer pump to prevent the washer fluid container from emptying.

  • Locate the hole for the rubber grommet on the cowl panel.


Note!

On certain models this may be covered by the heat insulation.

  • Cut off a small rubber nipple. Lubricate the cable harness using soap solution and thread through.

  • Route the cable harness into the passenger compartment. Adjust the length.

  • Install the rubber grommet and move the heat shield on the cable harness towards the rubber grommet.

  • Reinstall the engine splash guard.

  • Lower the car.

  • Reinstall the engine cover.

  • Take the cable harness (F) connector and connect the terminals in the connector:

  • 1 Blue (BL)

    2 Green (GN)

    3 Violet (VO)

    4 Yellow (Y)

    5 White (W)

    6 Black (SB)

  • Slide the connector's catch back.
