• Remove the bumper cover from the body by carefully prying off the ends using a weatherstrip tool. Pull off the cover under the tail lamp and from the rear edge of the wing on each side. It is secured by four clips at the tail lamp and four in the rear edge of the rear wing. Pull the bumper cover straight back.

• Disconnect the connector for the license plate lighting, on the left-hand side. If the car has rear parking assistance, disconnect the connector on the right-hand side.

• Remove the pieces of tape.

• Remove the tailgate's sill panel by pulling it up until the four clips on the upper side and the eight catches at the lower edge release.

• Lift out the spare wheel, jack and other parts from the storage compartment in the cargo floor support.

• Pull off the seat cushion, first at the rear edge where it is secured by one holder. Then at the front edge where it is secured by two holders.

• Remove the seat cushion.

• Fold the central arm rest forward.

• Remove the central arm rest by grasping each end and pulling upwards until it releases at the rear edge from the backrest's lugs (1).

• Then pull forwards until the holders (2) on the sides of the backrest have slid out of the corresponding cut-out (3) in the central arm rest.

• Fold the backrest forward.

• Remove the panel for the backrest's left-hand mounting.

• Tightening torque screw 15 Nm (11Ibf.ft.)

• Fold the backrest away from the left-hand mounting.

• Pull it out from the mounting at the arm rest and remove it.

• Remove the B post panel by prying it off at the sides at the lower edge using a weatherstrip tool. It is secured by three clips on the inside.

• Remove the screw from the left-hand panel in the rear seat.

• Carefully pull the panel from the body side and unhook it from the sill panel at the front edge. It is secured by eleven clips on the inside.

• Remove the clips at the rear edge of the left-hand rear side panel.

• Carefully pull the side panel off, starting at the front edge/upper edge and then straight back until all clips at the top edge have released.

• Fold the panel inwards. Release it from the anchorage eyelets and lift it out of the load floor support.

• Repeat steps 15-22 on the right-hand side.

• Lift up the load floor support and slide it forwards in the cargo compartment.

• Install the edge trim on the right-hand side, in the hole in front of the rubber grommet.

• Remove the rubber grommet in the body under the trunk lid-opening's lower right-hand corner.

• Cut the top off the left rubber nipple on the rubber grommet.

• Take the trailer connector with cable harness, screws and nuts from the kit.

• Tighten the trailer connector with cable harness to the bracket on the left-hand side of the towbar with the screws and nuts.

• Pull the cable in front of the lower and behind the upper screw/spacer sleeve to the hook mounting (Small image), and pull it up on the front of the collision member.

• Use pliers and widen the hole in the rubber grommet. Pull the wiring through.

• Adjust the cable's length between the rubber grommet and up to the wiring's connector and press the rubber grommet into place.

• Route the cable along the right-hand inside of the right-hand buckle and up to the underneath of the bracket. Clamp it using tie straps at the existing holes in the bracket and in the buckle.

• Pull the cable harness from the towbar.

• Connect the ground lead to the existing ground terminal.

• Tighten the screw. Tighten to 10 Nm (7.5 lbf.ft.)

• Secure the cable at the existing cable harness using a tie strap.

• Release the connector's secondary lock.

• Take the connector and install the cable ends as follows:

• Press the catch back.

• Connect the large connector to the cable harness for the trailer module (TRM).

• Disconnect the gray, two-pin connector from the trailer module (TRM).

• Connect the grey, two pin connector which was removed from the trailer module (TRM) to the corresponding connector on the routed cable harness.

• Connect the remaining grey, two-pin connector to the trailer module (TRM)

• Checking the 13 pin connector.

• Reinstall the detached components in reverse order.
