INTRODUCTION

  • Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.

  • Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.

  • Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.

  • Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.

  • In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

  • Cut off the pipe just in front of the joint using a pipe cutter.

  • Discard the cut off section.

  • Mark 5 mm in on the cut pipe using a pen.

  • Install the end pipe. Slide it on so that the end of the slit covers the marking.

  • Position the clamp as illustrated.

  • Tighten the clamp slightly. The end pipe must be able to be turned.

  • Repeat steps 1-4 on the other side.

  • Check that the lateral distance is as large.

  • If necessary, the distance can be adjusted by slackening off the screws for the rear exhaust mountings and moving them (image B).

    The tail pipes can also be turned to obtain the best position.

  • Tighten the end pipe clamps.

  • Torque tighten the screws in the exhaust mountings if slackened off. Tighten to 25 Nm (18.5 lbf.ft.).
