A smaller, lighter key tag for vehicles equipped with keyless locking and unlocking.
This Key Tag works in the same way as a regular remote key for keyless locking and unlocking. With this smaller remote key, you as a vehicle owner do not have to carry your regular remote key with you because it is just as easy to unlock the doors, tailgate and fuel filler door with the smaller one. The smaller size of the key makes it ideal to take with you on sports activities as it takes up very little space and weighs almost nothing.
The key is waterproof to a depth of 10 meters (32.8 feet) for up to 60 minutes, making it ideal to carry with you during water activities. As the key does not have a detachable key blade or buttons, you do not have to worry about it getting damaged under water or during other sports activities.

Note!
Be aware of the risk of locking the remote key in the vehicle.
A Key Tag that is left in the vehicle will be deactivated when the vehicle is locked and the alarm set using another valid key. The key will be reactivated when the vehicle is unlocked.
Note!
The battery cannot be replaced because it is a closed unit. A new remote key must be purchased from your authorized Volvo retailer when the battery no longer works. A drained Key Tag must be handed in to an authorized Volvo workshop. The key must be erased from the vehicle because it can still be used to start the vehicle via backup start.
