An exclusive and stylish running board that enhances the vehicle's luxurious look. "Integrated running board with illumination" makes it easy to enter and exit the vehicle and to load the vehicle's roof. It has LED illuminated strips on its outer edge, which show where to place your foot and give the vehicle a cool appearance. The lighting is coordinated with the vehicle's interior light logic1.
The running board is mainly made of strong aluminum for the lowest possible weight and high strength, which can withstand 300 kg (661 lbs). The surface of the running board consists of stainless steel and everything is framed by an exterior color-matched plastic panel. To reduce the risk of slipping on the running board, rubber anti-slip protection is integrated in the metal section. The running board replaces the vehicle's standard sill moldings.

If the vehicle is ordered from the factory with option code (999) for "Integrated running board with illumination," the enclosed wiring does not need to be used as it is already installed. Option code (999) is standard in certain markets and this wiring does not need to be used.

For the best finish over time, we recommend that all metal parts are cleaned and waxed on a regular basis. This is particularly important during winter due to the effects of road salt. To clean and maintain plastic parts, a special cleaning agent is recommended, which is available at your local Volvo retailer.

In cases where a color is missing, a primed kit must be ordered and then painted in the desired color.
