Tire Pressure Monitoring System (iTPMS)1 is a monitoring system for the tire pressure. A correctly inflated tire means less tire wear, better fuel consumption and safer driving.
The TPMS system uses the car's ABS system to monitor the tire pressure levels. When the system detects an incorrect tire pressure, the driver receives information in the driver display. The driver is also notified about which of the car's tires has incorrect tire pressure.
Facts and advantages
The TPMS system serves to indicate incorrect tire pressure, but is not to be used as a replacement for normal tire maintenance.
The TPMS system is activated when the car is traveling 30 km/h (18.6 mph) or faster.
Not suitable for the Plug-in Hybrid/Twin Engine.
To be able to install iTPMS, any dTPMS software must be uninstalled first.
- Indirect TPMS (iTPMS) contains an application. Direct TPMS (dTPMS) contains both sensors and an application and is used on cars to Ch -239300.
- Ordered according to separate procedures and downloaded using VIDA.
