Volvo's snow chains are designed to improve the traction of the driving wheels while driving and braking on snowy or icy surfaces.
The snow chains are easy to fit on and remove from the tires without needing to move the vehicle. Drive the vehicle forwards and/or backwards and the chain will center itself on the wheel.
This type of snow chain is fitted on the outside of the tire and therefore does not encroach into the space required for larger tire dimensions.

The snow chains may only be mounted on the driving wheels. On four-wheel drive electric vehicles, the snow chains must be mounted on the rear wheels.

Use Volvo's genuine snow chains designed for the correct vehicle model, tire and rim dimensions in order to prevent damage, for example, to the wheel housing.
