  • Pre-drill the holes using a Ø 4mm (5/32 ") drill bit (part.no. 9814090) in the punched holes. Then drill out the holes using an Ø 8 mm (5/16 ") drill bit. Drill at right angles to the surface.

    Note!

Use a long Ø 4mm (5/32 ") drill bit to prevent the drill's chuck from coming into contact with the boot lid.

    Do not damage the paintwork.

  • Repeat for the other side.

  • Check that the screws can be screwed into the spoiler.

  • Adjust the holes in the boot lid on both sides using a round file if the holes do not correspond.

  • Check that the play between the spoiler and boot lid is the same on both sides, if necessary adjust the holes with a round file to obtain the correct play.

  • Remove any swarf.

  • Request the assistance of a colleague and align the spoiler's studs in the drilled holes on both sides.

  • Lower the spoiler to the boot lid, but not so the tape adheres.

  • Check that the play between the spoiler and boot lid is the same on both sides, and that the holes on the inside of the boot lid correspond with the holes and studs in the spoiler.

  • Press the spoiler towards the boot lid so that the tape adheres properly around the spoiler feet (otherwise there is a risk that the tape will detach when installing the screws/nuts).
