"IntelliSafe Assist" makes it easier and safer to drive where you want the road to take you. "IntelliSafe Assist" consists of "Adaptive Cruise Control" (ACC), "Pilot Assist", "Distance Alert" and "Lane Keeping Aid".

This offer is only aimed at customers without "IntelliSafe Assist".

Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)

This is cruise control with an additional function that adapts the speed to a slower vehicle in front. If the vehicle in front slows down, the adaptive cruise control ensures that your car follows the vehicle's speed and if necessary stops it. If the vehicle in front is stationary for less than three seconds, your car will follow the vehicle as soon as it starts again.

The driver can at any time choose to switch off the adaptive cruise control and instead engage the normal cruise control. The system uses a radar unit in the window. When the car is following another vehicle at a speed above 70 km/h, and the driver indicates an imminent overtake using the car's direction indicators, the adaptive cruise control assists. The adaptive cruise control allows you to follow another vehicle at speeds from stationary up to 200 km/h.

Pilot Assist generation 2

"Pilot Assist" not only assists the driver to maintain a certain distance and speed in relation to the vehicle ahead but also, via steering assistance, helps keep the car in the middle of the lane.1 This is made possible by the camera and radar unit in the window reading off the car's position in relation to the visible road markings and the vehicle ahead. "Pilot Assist" can provide steering assistance from stationary and up to 130 km/h.

Distance Alert

"Distance Alert" alerts you if the time interval to the vehicle ahead is too short. The function is active at speeds above 30 km/h and only reacts to vehicles in front of your car driving in the same direction as you.

Lane Keeping Aid

This extremely useful accessory ensures that the driver does not cross a lane marking unintentionally. If the car is about to cross a lane marking without the vehicle's direction indicators being activated, the "Lane Keeping Aid" helps the driver to keep the car in its lane by gently steering it back. If the action is insufficient, or if the driver steers into the other lane, he or she is warned by vibrations in the steering wheel or a warning signal.

Note!

Only suitable for cars with automatic gearbox.

For cars built from and including chassis number 17202, the hydraulic unit is required. Cars built up to and including chassis number 17201 and Twin Engine do not need to order the hydraulic unit since it is standard in the car.

The instructions for replacing the hydraulic unit state that the VDDM RELOAD software must be downloaded. This step is not necessary if the unit has been replaced in order to activate IntelliSafe Assist and it should therefore be skipped.

Note!

Only for countries with radar approval.

Important information about IntelliSafe Assist and its functions as well as restrictions can be found in the instruction manual and the car's owner's manual.

Note!

The driver must always be observant of current traffic conditions and be prepared to intervene if necessary. It is always the driver who is responsible for how the car is controlled and that the correct time distance and speed is maintained, even when IntelliSafe Assist is used.

  1. If the driver lets go of the steering wheel, steering assistance disengages.
  2. Ordered according to separate procedures and downloaded using VIDA.
