INTRODUCTION

  • Read through all of the instructions before starting installation.

  • Notifications and warning texts are for your safety and to minimise the risk of something breaking during installation.

  • Ensure that all tools stated in the instructions are available before starting installation.

  • Certain steps in the instructions are only presented in the form of images. Explanatory text is also given for more complicated steps.

  • In the event of any problems with the instructions or the accessory, contact your local Volvo dealer.

  • Remove the knob for the lumbar support adjustment by removing the cover using a small screwdriver and pull the knob straight off.

  • Take a long cable tie and thread it from the hole for lumbar adjustment and up to the hole for the head restraint's inner mounting. The cable tie must be routed between the upholstery and the protection.

  • Using your fingers, press the cables under the protection. The cables must not press out the upholstery after installation.

  • Pull the cable tie with cables through the hole and out at the lower edge.

  • Remove the cable tie and tape from the cable harness.

  • Secure the cables using three cable ties

  • Reinstall the lumbar adjustment.

Warning!

When the ignition is to be switched on for the first time after the battery has been disconnected, this must be done whilst by standing outside the vehicle, stretching your arm in and avoiding the working area for the airbags.


  • Set the ignition switch to position II.
