Volvo's snow chains are designed to improve the traction of the driving wheels while driving and braking on snowy or icy surfaces.
The snow chains are easy to fit and remove on and off the tyres without needing to move the car. Drive the car forwards and/or backwards and the chain will centre itself on the wheel.
This type of snow chain is fitted on the outside of the tyre and therefore does not encroach into the space required for larger tyre dimensions.

The snow chains may only be mounted on the driving wheels. On four-wheel drive electric vehicles, the snow chains must be mounted on the rear wheels.

Use Volvo's genuine snow chains designed for the correct car model, tyre and rim dimensions in order to prevent damage, for example, to the wheel housing.
