Rear parking assistance is an excellent system that warns of obstructions when you have limited space behind the car, e.g. with tight parking.
The system is activated when reverse gear is engaged. The radio's/stereo's sound level is muted and a pulsating "buzzer tone" starts to sound in the car's rear speakers when approx. 150 cm (59 in) remain to the obstruction and becomes a constant tone when the obstruction is approx. 30 cm (11.8 in) from the rear bumper.
The kit consists of four sensors that are discreetly installed in the rear bumper, one control module and a buzzer with adjustable volume. The visible areas of the sensors are painted the same colour as the bumper.
The system can be switched off by flashing the direction indicator once, for example, when reversing a caravan.
With the possibility of supplementing the reverse warning system with an AEM (Accessory Electronic Module) the number of functions can be expanded and the existing functions can be upgraded to a higher level. Using an accessory electronic module (AEM) achieves better sound generation via the car's speakers as well as automatic muting of radio sound to ensure that the reverse warning is heard.

- A 50 ml (0.17 fl oz) container for use with several installations. NOTE: Opened container shall be stored as cool as possible. It must be used within 12 months of opening.
- The hole punching tool can be used for several installations. Replace the tool with a new one when it becomes blunt. The hole making tool is ordered via SPX.
